Threading the River
Mythopoetic Canyon Journey through Story and Song
May 12 - 19
Labyrinth Canyon
Threading the River is a seven-day creative rites of passage—an immersion in medicine story, animist writing, ceremony, and the midwifery of your own true song. You'll be held within a living indigenous medicine story filled with thresholds and portals for deepening, journeying, and return. The canyon wren threads its liquid song. The river moves—unhurried, unhurriable—carrying you somewhere deeper than you knew you were going. The river reshapes you. The river restores you. ReStories you. Calls you home.

Storyteller • Ceremonialist • (W)rites of Passage Guide
I know this work because I've lived it.
I grew up in a small town where my coming-of-age was literally and metaphorically swallowed by the Big Bad Wolf of Little Red Riding Hood's forest. At 19, I lived for a year in Moscow, Russia during the collapse of the Soviet Union and found myself in an even bigger story - the belly of the contradiction and Life/death/life with Baba Yaga, everything dissolving. Upon returning, I lost my voice. The story was too large to integrate and make sense of. I couldn't think my way out. It took time but with the power of mythos, archetypes and soul maps embedded in the old, old stories, I created a self-designed (w)rites of passage, embodied, incorporating 5 rhythms dance, movement, the power of creativity, to claw myself out.
I became Red, rewilded.
For twenty years, I've guided women through their own passages using fairy tales, embodied writing, and seasonal wisdom. I hold a Master's in Transformative Language Arts from Goddard College and am SomaSource certified. I taught Waldorf education for 13 years and have facilitated mythopoetic writing circles that have helped hundreds of women reclaim their voices and transform their stories.
My work lives at the intersection of:
Fairy tales as initiatory maps (medicine, not entertainment)
Embodied writing practice (story through body, not just mind)
Seasonal rhythms (earth's turning, not capitalism's clock)
SomaSource movement and transformative language arts
Brave witness culture (raw, real, unfinished work shared aloud)
I believe stories are living beings. I believe the body is the ground of truth. And I believe every woman carries a creative elixir inside her - waiting to be remembered, reclaimed, and offered.
The Wild Remembering is my platform for this work - seasonal writing circles, celebrations and storytelling for communities, and individual mentorship.
